Grade 6 Art

Overview

At ISE we believe that the fine and performing arts are an integral aspect of culture and learning. Research has proven that an arts integrated curriculum enhances and deepens learning not just in the arts but in all academic subjects. The correlations of fine art study with mathematical concepts, science, history, and culture help lay the foundation for a well-rounded and substantial education.

The 6th grade art program will parallel the social studies curriculum. It will have two components; theory and studio exploration. Through theory students will gain an appreciation of the basic principles behind the art of a specific society.
